Mike discusses two articles dealing again with definitions, scriptural definitions. Can or will a person truly converted “leave the faith”? Should not all Christians be evangelical? Do evangelicals have an image problem, or is all this a case of “nothing new under the sun”, and a matter that we should conform to the Word of God instead of the other way around?

Mike is on the road today in Lakeshore, Mississippi, where he is visiting and preparing for a special broadcast from Lakeshore Baptist Church. The efforts are ongoing here in helping victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, almost 3 years later. Also, Mike will be preaching there tonight.

In Micah 6:8 we read, “what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” On this program, Mike asks if we as Christians are not called to show compassion even to, and especially to, those who despise us? In the words of Charles Bridges,”How are we as Christians, if we believe not the Scripture warnings of their danger; or if, believing them, we do not bestir ourselves to their help? What hypocrisy is it to pray for their conversion, while we are making no effort to promote it!”

On this St. Patrick’s Day, Mike visits with Roger Basick with
LifeFM Radio in Cork City Ireland. LifeFM is the first full-time licensed Christian radio station in the Republic of Ireland and went on the air March 16, 2008. Mike and Roger talk about the concept of the station and the challenges and joys experienced by evangelical ministry in Ireland.

When considering our response to the cultures of today, what should our strategy as Christians be? Should we recoil and retreat into our spiritual caves, or should we be Bereans, studying to show ourselves approved, and confront the culture in love, compassion, mercy, but with the absolute Truth of God’s Word. In this program Mike shares that we should and must respond with the Gospel to a lost and dying world.
